‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Patch 8 Beta Event Coming Soon, PC Sign Ups Now Open

Thanks to the success of previous beta events that BioWare held to test various updates for Dragon Age: Inquisition before releasing the patch content to general public, the developer is getting ready to host yet another beta test for Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s next title update. BioWare announced on their official Twitter account that they are now accepting applications from PC players who wish to be considered to take part in the upcoming beta test.

While BioWare has announced their plans to once again test the new content that will become available within the next patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition, the developer has not yet released any details on exactly what the update will entail. In the past, BioWare has released large new additions to the game with the release of similar free patches.

Previous Dragon Age: Inquisition updates have added many fan-requested features that were missing from the game at launch such as a personal storage system. The most recent patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was released just last month, gave players the ability to alter their character’s appearance throughout the game thanks to the addition of the Black Emporium.

By conducting these small beta events on the PC edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition, the developer ensures that the updates will launch with fewer issues across all platforms which means fans can enjoy a more bug-free experience.

Besides working on Patch 8, BioWare is also currently working on more story-based content for Dragon Age: Inquisition according to a recent report from the Inquisitr. Once again, exact details on the upcoming DLC have yet to be announced by Dragon Age: Inquisition creative director Mike Laildaw has confirmed that BioWare isn’t finished expanding upon the game’s narrative just yet.

In addition to adding new story content to Dragon Age: Inquisition, the developer continues to give fans more insight into the lore of the game. The official BioWare Blog offered more insight into the people of Thedas this week by releasing a new free short story based on characters from Dragon Age: Inquisition.

“Today, we’re thrilled to present another short story by Joanna Berry. Last month, she gave us a glimpse into Samson’s past with Paper & Steel. Now, we learn a lot more about Calpernia, the Tevinter mage who rose from slavery to become leader of Corypheus’s loyal cult, the Venatori.”
