Mariah Carey Joins Match: Dating Profile Or Publicity Stunt?

It’s official! Singer Mariah Carey reportedly debuted an online Match profile Tuesday.

According to Us Weekly, the 45-year-old singer apparently used her online dating website to draw attention to her Infinity album.

For instance, Mariah’s username on Match is “MC1toInfinity” – a reference to her recently released compilation album, #1 to Infinity.

Within the actual profile itself, Carey’s music video for her single “Infinity” is posted under the “In Her Own Words” section. The music video was officially released online the same day as the Match profile.

Mariah Carey also promoted the release of her new music video through her official Twitter page along with recognizing some of the stars that were featured in it – such as model Tyson Beckford and Empire actor Jussie Smollett.

Mariah even promoted her new “Infinity” music video and her Match profile at the same time in a separate tweet.

Within the details of her Match profile, beneath the music video, are song lyrics to “Dreamlover” – the seventh track on the new compilation album.

“I need a lover to give me The kind of love That would last always I need somebody uplifting To take me away I want a lover who knows me Who understands how I feel inside Someone to comfort and hold me Through the long lonely nights Till the dawn Why don’t you take me away.”

The professional photograph that Mariah Carey used for her Match profile picture was apparently taken from her album cover photo shoot since the dress that she is wearing is the same featured on the compilation album.

In addition to the different references (direct & indirect) to her album, the rest of the details listed in her profile seem to be accurate – including her relationship and parenting status, ethnicity, body type, height and religious beliefs.

When it comes to identifying “what she is looking for,” the only preferences listed on Mariah’s Match profile target a non-smoking male that is at least 6? tall.

Mariah Carey is still separated from her estranged husband and the father of her two children, Nick Cannon. Long before she first married Nick in 2008, Mariah was married to Tommy Mottola for nearly five years in the 1990s.
