Kelly Clarkson: Mini Dress Gets People Talking, Kelly Continues Ignoring Weight Critics
Kelly Clarkson wore a mini dress to the iHeart Radio Pool Party in Las Vegas over the weekend, and it got everyone talking. The American Idol alum chose a cream-colored belted ivory dress that landed a few inches above her knee as her look for the day, and wore the same dress when she took the stage at Caesar’s Palace later that same night.
According to the Mail Online, the 33-year-old mother of one showed off her fuller figure with pride. With a big smile on her face for much of the night, Kelly looked confident as she showed off her legs. While many people criticized Kelly for wearing such a short dress, a lot of her fans loved the look, and praised her for not giving into weight critics.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Clarkson has struggled with her weight for much of her life. If you have followed her career, you likely know that her weight fluctuates, and that she has been all different sizes over the past decade.
“I don’t obsess about my weight, which is probably one of the reasons why other people have such a problem with it. There are just some people who are born skinny and with a great metabolism. That is not me. I wish I had a better metabolism. But someone else probably wishes they could walk into a room and make friends with everyone like I can. You always want what someone else has.”
E! News praised Kelly for her “chic” look, and complimented her on her shoe choice. Rather than wearing heels, Kelly chose ballet flats with black bows, which were both cute and comfy.
She hasn’t tweeted once about her outfit, and likely hasn’t given the look a second thought. It seems like she has learned how to hold her head high, and how to ignore the haters — something that is key in the business.
Kelly Clarkson is preparing for a summer tour, which kicks off on July 11. She has multiple tour dates that run through mid-October.
