Gretchen Rossi & Slade Smiley: Will Their Wedding Air On Television?

Will Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley get married on television? On June 1, Wetpaint Entertainment reported on the possibility.

During the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi proposed to Smiley after years of dating atop the AT&T building in Los Angeles. Years later, the couple has yet to tie the knot, and as fans await the couple’s big day, everyone is on the edge of their seats, hoping for news of a reality special.

Unfortunately, according to a recent interview with Real Mr. Housewife, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen.

“We’ve been approached by three different networks actually to cover the wedding aspect of things between us. We think that maybe something should be kept for us. That day is supposed to be pretty special and I don’t know if it’s something that should be filmed for a reality show.”

Gretchen Rossi and Smiley starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County for many years before they were allegedly booted from the show for failing to deliver a juicy story line. Since they began dating, Rossi and Smiley have been seemingly on different pages, when it comes to their future. While Smiley would prefer to get married to Gretchen Rossi, and then start a family, Rossi prefers to take a different approach, first welcoming a child, and then getting married. Still, despite that, Rossi proposed to Smiley during season eight, and from there, the couple was accused of faking their relationship for the cameras.

Although Gretchen Rossi has denied it, many fans of the show believed she only asked Smiley to marry her in an effort to have her contract with Bravo renewed for season nine.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gretchen Rossi recently spoke out, admitting that getting down the aisle hasn’t been easy. Speaking to Us Weekly earlier this year, Gretchen Rossi said she and Smiley have been struggling to keep their scheduled wedding dates.

“We keep changing the date like 28 times. It’s so bad. You know what, honestly, every single time we start planning and thinking that we’re going to make it happen, something comes up or somebody can’t make it in the family or just something… And we feel like we’ve been married because we’ve been together for six years. So eventually, one day, we’ll get married.”

Gretchen Rossi began dating Smiley after his engagement to Jo De La Rose, who starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County season one, came to an end.
