Tony Harris Ditches ‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn, ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Next Stop For ‘The Healer’ [Spoilers]

Bachelorette contestant Tony Harris leaves Kaitlyn Bristowe during Monday night’s sumo wrestling group date, but that won’t be the last time fans will see “the healer” on TV. While 35-year-old Harris, who hails from St. Louis, Missouri, doesn’t find love on the Bachelorette, there’s a possibility that he will meet his match on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.

Tony is one of six guys picked to go on a sumo wrestling group date in Los Angeles on Week 3 (June 1) of ABC’s popular reality show. He joins JJ Lane, Shawn Booth, Chris “Cupcake” Strandburg, Joe Bailey, and Clint Arlis on the date that requires the guys to what looks like a giant thong diaper.

According to Reality Steve, Tony decides he doesn’t want to participate, and leaves the show. There are conflicting rumors that he may have injured himself during sumo-practice, but whatever the reason, he decides that his relationship with Kaitlyn just doesn’t click.

From the minute Tony greeted both Kaitlyn and Britt on the Bachelorette season premiere, fans thought he would be a great match for Ashley Salter, the “Onion Girl” who entertained viewers on Chris Soules’ season of the Bachelor.

Dreams do come true in Bachelor Nation — according to a previous report from the Inquisitr, Tony is one of four guys from Kaitlyn’s season who are rumored to be heading to the second season of Bachelor in Paradise. Although it’s likely the cast list won’t be confirmed by ABC until Kaitlyn’s season ends (July 27), Ashley S., along with several other ladies from Chris Soules’ season, may take part.

Fans may remember host Chris Harrison asking Ashley if she would join the cast of BIP 2 during the Women Tell All special back in March. After the show, Harrison mentioned her in his blog, again extending an invitation to appear on the Bachelor spinoff.

“I’ll admit I can’t get enough of this girl and I could’ve talked to her for hours. She’s unlike any woman who’s ever been on this show and definitely marches to the beat of her own saxophone. I truly hope Ashley S. joins us this summer forBachelor in Paradise. I honestly hope she just remembers to show up.”

Will Tony Harris and Ashley Salter hit it off if they both end up at the Bachelor in Paradise beach house this summer? Tune in to watch the season premiere on August 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to find out.
