Want A 10-Course Titanic Meal? Cough Up $12,000

Titanic enthusiasts who have always wanted to “relive” the part of the cruise where everyone didn’t go overboard and who are willing to cough up $12,000 can now take part in a 10-course meal created from dishes that were served on the cruises fatal voyage.

The 10-course meal was created by chef’s at Cullen’s restaurant and the dishes are said to be “similar” to those served to first class passengers aboard the S.M.S. Titanic.

The four-hour Titanic Experience is being being served up to guests at the exclusive Macy’s Table, a room that is suspended from the ceiling at the Houston based restaurant.

The room can only seat 12 people which means you’ll need to convince 11 friends to pay $1,000 each for a chance to eat the meal or you’ll need to find 11 strangers willing to pay that same amount.

Among the items you’ll receive for $12,000 are: wine, a beef appetizer, after-dinner cheese, and a 1900 bottle of Armagnac brandy.

The 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking will be celebrated on April 15 and this particular menu is meant to celebrate the ships tragedy in a unique and tasteful way, pun intended.

Sadly those eating the over priced meal will have no way of really knowing if the meal served tastes anything like the actual food chef’s were throwing together for first-class passengers aboard the Titanic.

Would you be willing to cough up $1,000 per head in order to sample the food of Titanic customers or could you eat for a year with that amount of money?
