Would Kourtney Kardashian Carry A Baby For Kim And Kanye?

Forget all of those nagging rumors about marital woes for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Buzz abounds that their union is so strong that they’re considering some radical alternatives to bring a new baby into the fold. As speculation abounds that the power couple will seek a surrogate mom, Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian could end up playing a big role in the future of their growing family.

A recent item by Music Times recalls comments made by Kardashian matriarch Kris Kenner that Kourtney would be willing to carry a baby for Kim and Kanye given her sister’s recent spate of fertility problems.

“Kourtney probably would do it,” Kris said to Kim reassuringly during a memorable segment of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“Yeah, but it would be so annoying if I couldn’t carry my own baby,” replied Kim.

Hollywood Life notes that should Kim and Kanye go outside of the family in their search for a surrogate, matters could get very complex from the get-go. The online celebrity news outlet spoke with California fertility and surrogate lawyer Lesa Slaughter, Esq. regarding the prospective ins and outs of surrogate pregnancy.

“The first step is either hiring a fertility lawyer or going to a surrogate agency that will refer you to a lawyer. There are plenty of established agencies in California that will match prospective parents with a surrogate,” the attorney noted in her discussion with Hollywood Life. “The next step is the matching process, finding the surrogate. Parents will look through profiles. sometimes it can take two weeks or up to two months. Preferably, you want a surrogate who is in a stable relationship, has children of her own, and has given birth… The parents will want to pick a surrogate who shares the same beliefs and philosophies such as good nutrition, exercise, taking [vitamin] supplements.”

A number of sources suggest that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are sure to forego adoption and press forward with a surrogate mom, but the Kimye camp has yet to make any definitive public statements to that effect. Quoting a report by Us Weekly, Gossip Cop indicates that sources claim that the couple will begin the surrogate process as soon as June of this year, but the online tabloid spoke later spoke with a Kardiashian rep who refuted the Us report, describing it as “false.”

Despite their occasional dust-ups and scraps, Kris Jenner and daughters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian always seem to know how to support one another through adverse circumstances. As Kim’s struggles with fertility constitute one of the most serious, real-life trials in the family’s recent history, Kourtney Kardashian could turn out to be one of the biggest heroes in the long-running reality show’s history should she step up and provide her family with the cherished gift of a new baby.
