Chris Pratt On Knowing Anna Faris Was The One

In a recent U.S. issue of Elle Magazine, actor Chris Pratt opened up about the instant connection he and now-wife Anna Faris felt from the moment they began working together back in 2007. Chris and Anna met in 2007 while on set for the movie Take Me Home Tonight. At the time, Anna was still married to Ben Indra.

The co-stars quickly developed feelings for one another, and by 2009, Chris and Anna were hitched. Pratt, however, is adamant that the two did not cross the line before it was appropriate and Faris had ended her previous marriage. Chris explained to Elle how it was working together in the early stages of their relationship. Bang Showbiz recounts Pratt’s words.

“It was like magnets. Our personalities meshed, she was a goofball, she liked to have fun, it was impossible to offend her… We were friends first but she left her husband at the end of the movie, and we started dating when we were back in Los Angeles. So we were friends, and I was there for her. And we had just played love interests, so we had this tight bond spending so much time and spending nights in Phoenix, but we never crossed the line. But we were, I think, developing feelings for each other at the time, you know? The day that she told me she was leaving her husband, I knew I was going to marry her.”

The 35-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy actor was smitten with Faris, 38, from day one, and although she was married at the time, he imagined that in another life they were meant to be. Clearly their bond was strong enough to bring their union into this life because two years later, it was a done deal. The couple now has a 2-year-old son together named Jack. Chris continued to gush about how many similarities he and Faris have and relayed more signs that let him know that she was the one for him.

“I just remember thinking, ‘Wow, in another life, that’s who I want to be with – we would be so good together, I just know it.’… (It was stuff like) I found out she grew up 20 minutes from where I grew up, and I was like, ‘That’s crazy.'”

And if all that isn’t sweet enough, the Daily Mail notes that recently Pratt shared an adorable snap of his happy home life with wife Anna and son Jack with an equally precious caption underneath it.

“Happy boy, happy wife, happy life, porch swing. #CanIGetAHashtag Proverbs 22:6.”
