CNN’s Anderson Cooper Grills Anti-Islam Rally Organizer Claiming ‘True Islam Is Terrorism’

Throughout Barack Obama’s presidential run, there has been a shift on how rallying against terrorism is viewed. Prior to Obama in office, people would not stand for Islamic terror. Now, any opposing rally against such terrorism is automatically considered a stance against Islam. Ergo, the politically correct thing to do is not to rally against such. Now, Americans are getting upset with being politically correct as proven through Pamela Geller’s “Draw Muhammad” contest.

The movement continued when Jon Ritzheimer organized a “Draw Muhammad” free-speech biker rally in front of the Arizona mosque that produced the two Islamic terrorists who reportedly were a part of the Islamic State (ISIS). However, Anderson Cooper of CNN did not take the rally lightly as he accused Ritzheimer of “inciting violence” and “playing with ISIS.”

According to CNN, Anderson Cooper partook in an interview with Jon Ritzheimer on Thursday, May 29, 2015, for the “Draw Muhammad” free-speech biker rally that took place today in Phoenix, Arizona. For those who are not in the know, Cooper is known for being sympathetic to Islam and Muslims, taking a more liberal stance on how both the religion and its followers are seen. Cooper also takes a disliking to the linking of Islam to terrorism.

As shown from the video of the interview attached above, Anderson Cooper concentrates on the fact that Jon Ritzheimer’s rally is provocation, as in it is provoking Islamic terrorists to attack them, as reported by The Blaze.

Here’s Ritzheimer’s reply,

“Well, I’m really trying to achieve exposing Islam and the truth about what’s written in the Koran. Some would even probably argue that the signers that signed the Declaration of Independence was a bad idea, back in their day.”

That one statement was the catalyst that would initiate the direction the rest of the interview would go. Anderson Cooper would then try to trap Jon Ritzheimer in his questioning, asking if Ritzheimer supported Islam back when he was a Marine following orders. Summarized, Cooper utilized journalistic tactics used to grill interviewees in slipping up. Ritzheimer, however, kept his cool and in the end, had these honest words to say that technically ended the interview.

“True Islam is terrorism. The ones that are out committing these atrocities, they are following the book as it’s written.”
