After Chris Soules Breakup, Whitney Bischoff Speaks: Thanks Fans For Love, Kindness And Support

A day after Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules announced that their engagement was off with a short statement to the media, Whitney has posted a personal message for her fans. On Friday afternoon, Whitney posted a black and white video of a small girl excitedly telling her that she’ll see her in Chicago. Whitney, after remarking that the little girl puts a smile on her face, thanked everyone for their love, kindness and support.

“Now this little gal knows how to make me smile! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your outpouring love, kindness and support! It means so much to me!”

On Thursday, just two months after The Bachelor viewers watched Chris and Whitney get engaged on the season finale, Us Weekly reported that they have broken up. The two released a joint statement.

“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”

While rumors of a split have surrounded the two for weeks, the confirmation of a split still may have come as a surprise for many of the show’s viewers. In interviews with the media, Chris outright denied that Whitney’s absence from several of his Dancing with the Stars performances had anything to do with relationship troubles and maintained that they were together and in love.

Last Tuesday, Chris Soules even posted a photo of Whitney Bischoff with his family and declared that he loved her.

The day the split was announced, Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, told Hallmark’s Home & Family that he was “really sorry” to hear the news.

“I was really sorry to hear this morning that Chris and Whitney had ended their engagement. He went on to do Dancing with the Stars and moved back to Iowa and I thought they had given it a go and were going back together but apparently not…I know it is television and I know there are silly things that go on, but, to me, they are also real people. They’re just two kids that were hopefully going to get married and they’re not now and that’s sad. They’re still two people going through a breakup, so it’s still tough. I wish them the best.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, some fans of the show, upon hearing the breakup news, tweeted to Mike Fleiss, the creator and producer of the franchise, that the star of the show should have been Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Arie himself tweeted disappointment at the news.

Two people a surely disappointed Whitney Bischoff may have confinded in before her split from Chris Soules became public knowledge are Kaitlyn Bristowe and Becca Tilley, who competed with her for Chris on The Bachelor. On Tuesday, Becca posted a photo of herself with Kaitlyn having a video call with Whitney. Showing that there are no hard feelings, Becca declared that it is “SO much fun” being friends with Kaitlyn and Whitney.
