Ed Sheeran Is Impressed With His Own ‘Bulge’ At Madame Tussauds

Two years after Louis Tomlinson of One Direction made the request, it’s finally become a reality. Singer Ed Sheeran now has a wax figure at Madame Tussauds, and let’s just say that Sheeran is pleased with the work.

Met my waxwork at Madame Tussaud, he didn’t say much but he’s got a bulge so it’s all good

The replica of the 24-year-old Sheeran comes just two years after Tomlinson made the request via MTV.com.

“I think it’d be cool to have Ed Sheeran there in his little orange hoodie with his orange hair.”

Not only was Ed Sheeran thrilled with his wax “bulge,” as he mentioned via Instagram, but he also was impressed with the wax sculptor’s ability to capture other parts of his look as well. According to the Daily Mail Online, Sheeran also was impressed by the way his eyes looked:

“They’ve even got my lazy eye in, it’s kind of pointing that way.'”

Perhaps tastefully, Sheeran chose not to share a photo of the impressive bulge on Instagram, but his so-called lazy eye can be seen in his selfie shot.

Sheeran came face-to-face with the wax version of himself for the first time on Thursday, when the figure was unveiled in New York.

During the unveiling, Ed Sheeran described the manner in which measurements were taken in order to create the wax figure.

“They put you in grey underwear and a grey vest and you stand there for two hours as strangers poke you, and it comes out looking all right.”

The measurement session may sound tedious and a bit boring, but Ed Sheeran managed to keep it interesting, according to Bret Pidgeon, a regional general manager at Madame Tussauds.

“During the sitting, which is the time when we get with the celebrity and we take hundreds of measurements, (Ed Sheeran) actually played a song on his guitar for the studio artists who were taking the measurements that day. It was really cool,” Pidgeon told the Daily Mail Online in a video interview.

Pidgeon added that, in order to make the figure look more lifelike, Ed Sheeran donated all of the clothes the waxwork is wearing. In addition, Ed Sheeran also donated the guitar, which Pidgeon mentions is a Martin.

Some believe that the items donated by Sheeran give the wax figure a personal touch, making it look even more like the British singer.

What do you think? Does the wax figure resemble Ed Sheeran closely?
