Anne Hathaway Throws “Fun” Engagement Party In NYC

Anne Hathaway and fiance Adam Schulman are getting married in October 2013 and in celebration of that upcoming event Anne and Adam took some time out of their busy schedules to throw a “fun” engagement party for friends and family at a New York book store.

A guest at the event recently spoke with Us Weekly magazine and said:

‘Everything so was fun, just like Annie.’

Anne apparently had a banquet of vegan food set out for her guests and decorations included bird-shaped vases that were filled with flowers, ranunculus and anemones.

The happy couple have also apparently selected a New York City venue for their wedding however they are keeping that location under wraps until the last minute.

Hopefully this relationship takes a better trajectory than Anne Hathaway’s last, the actress split in 2008 from boyfriend Raffaello Follieri after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud.

Joking about their engagement in November of last year Anne revealed that Adam Schulman “ruined” her plans to stay single. As Anne Hathaway proclaimed:

‘I am very much in love with him, (only) Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!’

In the meantime a “fun” engagement party seems like a nice way to celebrate your upcoming wedding with your closest friends and family, it sure beats the superficial feel that many celebrities employ when creating lavish spectacles to get their name out into the media world.
