Justin Bieber Calls His Relationship With God ‘The Coolest Thing’

Justin Bieber, 21, is often in the news. Many times the news isn’t good. However, according to the Christian Post, Bieber is in the news for talking about his relationship with God. Bieber says he is not religious, but he has a relationship with God, and that relationship has given him a sense of spiritual contentment and greater feeling of purpose in life. Bieber concludes that developing a relationship with God has been the coolest thing he has ever experienced.

The pop singer often talks about God even though he doesn’t try to push anything on his fans. Bieber’s post was shared with his Instagram followers on Tuesday, and it accumulated nearly a million likes within 24 hours. Bieber posted Psalm 43:1.

“Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.”

Bieber’s post continued, “I’m not religious nor do I think I have ANYTHING figured out that’s why I call out on God to help me through what I can’t do on my own. Developing my relationship with God has been the coolest thing I’ve experienced, to know that I’m not alone and I don’t have to live in fear. Never feel like I’m pushing anything on u but sharing the good news I’ve felt in my own life.”

Along with the message was a selfie of Justin reading Occupy All Streets, a book published by Pastor Carl Lentz, who reportedly baptized Bieber. The New York City pastor has become a trusted source for the acclaimed singer. The pair has spent a lot of time together since they met in 2008. They have formed a friendship, and Bieber has been going to Bible study with Lentz.

Even though Bieber is often criticized in the news, Lentz believes the young singer just needs a little guidance.

“I have a special role in Justin’s life, spiritually, but I’m not a life-motivational guy. We’re talking about making sure his life remains a blessing, not a burden.”

The Washington Post reports that the popular singer says although he is excited about his own experience with God, he doesn’t want his 28.4 million Instagram followers to feel like he is pushing his faith onto them.

“I pray two to three times a day. When I wake up I thank him for my blessings. I thank him for putting me in this position. And at the end of the day I get out my Bible. At home-school my tutor is Christian, so we go over Bible verses. It’s something that keeps me grounded.”
