Andy Cohen Admits Teresa Giudice’s Fans Made Him Dread ‘RHONJ’

Teresa Giudice’s fans are not to be messed with. On Tuesday night’s Watch What Happens Live, in a turn of the tables, host Andy Cohen took questions from The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel. When Bethenny asked Andy which Real Housewives show has the most hardcore fans, Andy admitted that the Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are the most loyal and dedicated to the show.

Andy specifically singled out Teresa Giudice’s fans. He admitted that her fans used to make him dread when the show aired because they were so hard on him.

“I feel with me, typically the New Jersey fans are really hardcore with me and they’re hardcore about the show. I mean talk to Caroline Manzo. They’re the most hardcore…when Jersey‘s on I’m almost like, ‘Oh God. I can’t wait for this season to be over.’ Cause I feel like they’re going to come burn my house down a little bit…With Teresa, the TreHuggers, they’re called TreHuggers, she has TreHuggers, and man they always think that I don’t like her, that I’m against her…She has an army…Well thankfully I think they’ve seen that I actually like Teresa and I think I’ve somehow proven that to them over the last year and a half but literally there were some dark days…”

Andy Cohen added that Teresa Giudice’s fans were so hard on him that it made him scared and reluctant to ask Teresa certain questions during the reunion shows that he knew would upset her, such as when he asked Teresa whether she planted stories in the media about her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, having worked as a stripper.

Considering that Andy himself knows what a loyal fan base Teresa has, it’s likely that he and the producers will want her to return to the show once she gets out of prison. In a mid-March interview with E! News, Andy admitted that he’s keeping tabs on how Teresa is doing via her good friend and co-star Dina Manzo.

“You know what, I haven’t spoken to Teresa yet. Her access to the outside world is obviously limited. Certainly I’m thinking about her. I woke up thinking about her this morning actually. I’m kind of checking in through Dina to find out how she’s doing and by all accounts she’s hanging in there and doing okay. And we’ll watch what happens with that.”

Andy Cohen and the other producers may have to ready themselves for the large amount of money Teresa Giudice will want to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, when asked whether the family would return to the reality TV show, said that the “numbers would have to be very big.”
