Does ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham Think That Damon And Bonnie Should Get Together In Season 7?
Ever since Nina Dobrev decided to end her run on The Vampire Diaries, fans have been in a heated debated concerning Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) next love now that Elena is gone. With that in mind, the obvious choice for Damon, given recent events, is Bonnie (Kat Graham).
Bonnie and Damon have had an interesting relationship over the years, going from two people who couldn’t stand each other to really bonding as of late. Although the two are closer now than ever, a relationship between them would certainly be a complicated matter, reports Carter Matt.
Kat Graham recently talked about the relationship between Bonnie and Damon and how she would like to see the show look into some of the good and bad sides that are now present between the two.
“I’m hoping for both. I’m hoping that we see both sides of their relationship and how it can affect them both because it’s obviously going to screw with Bonnie and him, but especially Bonnie,” Graham explained to E! News.
Meanwhile, most fans are not so thrilled about a romance between Damon and Bonnie. In a poll taken by E! Online, fans were asked if the pair should be the next couple on the show. Based on the votes, which totaled in the hundreds of thousands, 84 percent of fans were not in favor of a Bamon hook up. This overwhelming response seems to indicate that many just are not ready to see Damon move on so quickly after Elena’s departure.
Speaking of Dobrev and her leaving The Vampire Diaries, Caroline Dries recently revealed that the rest of the characters on the show are ready to move on in the coming season, and they won’t dwell too much on Elena’s absence.
“We’re not going to do a ton of ‘grieving,’ besides Alaric who is grieving the loss of his future family,” Caroline Dries related to E! “But Elena left on great terms with everyone and I think inspired them with her goodbyes. If anything, they’re empowered by what she said and less grieving. They also feel freedom to have life after her. She granted them that.”
Does this point towards Damon being ready to move on and start a new relationship with Bonnie? Whatever the case may be, the possibility of a relationship between him and Bonnie is surely something that the show will play around with in the coming season.
The Vampire Diaries is set to return for another season this fall on the CW.
