Dave Grohl & Taylor Swift: Foo Fighters Frontman Admits ‘Obsession’ With Taylor Swift

Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift might seem like an unlikely pairing, but you might be surprised to know that the Foo Fighters frontman is obsessed with the country singer… and he’s not ashamed to admit it. According to dbTechno, Grohl came clean about his feelings on Sunday night while performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

“The Foo Fighters closed out Big Weekend performing Sunday night after Taylor Swift’s performed as the opening act, a fact the didn’t go unnoticed by the frontman. Grohl mentioned her several times during their performance, even dedicating three songs to the singer, one of which is their track ‘Congregation’ which was written in Nashville.”

Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift probably won’t be dating any time soon, but it seems obvious that Grohl appreciates the Blank Space singer and that he really enjoyed her opening performance at the show. According to MTV, Grohl appeared to be joking with the audience as he mentioned Swift’s name a billion times, and his feelings about her seemed to come from a good place.

Although he dedicated three songs to Swift that night, it sounds like he’s just a fan of hers and that he appreciates what she brings to the music world.

“I’m officially obsessed — she might want to get a restraining order. I’m all about Swift. I’m going to dedicate this song to Taylor Swift, how about that? This one goes out to my opening band, Taylor Swift.”

Hopefully, Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift got to talk after the show. Maybe the two will collaborate on something in the future, who knows?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the Foo Fighters played a 60-minute set to close the show. They performed 26 songs including “Everlong” and “Monkey Wrench.”

“Let me tell you something. Ee learned how to be a band by coming to your country and playing all your festivals and theaters and s**t. The first time we headlined a festival, I believe it was here. The first time we headlined an arena it was here, and the first time we did this [played a stadium] it was here,” Grohl said during the performance.

The Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift will both be on tour this summer, though not together. Bummer… for Grohl.
