Samsung has officially announced the release of a Limited Edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 edge, as part of a collaboration with Marvel centered around Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
The Iron Man S6 is the latest product of a partnership formed between Samsung and Marvel last June, according to Time. The phone sports Iron Man’s signature paint scheme of red with gold trim, along with a portrait of the Marvel superhero across the back, emblazoned above a distinct serial number.

The phone ships with a custom wireless charger designed to look like Iron Man’s signature Arc Reactor, as well as a pre-installed Iron Man-centric theme. Boasting 64GB of storage, according to Forbes, the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man otherwise adheres to many of the specs of the original phone. These include a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, an Exynos 7420 processor, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and 3GB RAM, as the Inquisitr has previously reported.

The Iron Man S6 Limited Edition represents just the latest product of a partnership that has previously resulted in the release of Avengers cases for the Note 4, as well as an Avengers: Age Of Ultron theme for the Galaxy S6. Samsung’s Executive Vice President of Global Marketing for their IT & Mobile Division, Younghee Lee, referenced that partnership while announcing the Iron Man S6.
“We are excited to be able to offer our world-class Galaxy S6 edge smartphone designed especially for Iron Man fans through our continued collaboration with Marvel,” he said.

Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age Of Ultron premiered on May 1, 2015 in America, making $1.263 billion worldwide in its first 24 days of release. During that period of time, the film also brought in $403 million domestically, a feat matched only by 19 other movies in history.
Unfortunately for American fans, a stateside launch of the Iron Man S6 is an unclear proposition at this point in time. Beginning as a limited run of 1,000 units, the phone will be made available on Wednesday, May 27, in South Korea, before release in China and Hong Kong next month. Samsung did not, however, reveal whether the Iron Man S6 edge would be offered for sale in the United States, nor was pricing information included in the announcement.
