Marine & Bride Pray: Emotional Photo Shows Marine Praying, Bride Crying Before Wedding Ceremony

A marine and his bride decided to pray together before tying the knot, and a photo of them doing so has gone viral this week.

According to ABC News, U.S. Marine Cpl. Caleb Earwood and his bride, Maggie, were seen holding hands while standing apart from each other, which is something that many couples choose to do before their wedding ceremony (the two stand against separate walls, usually at a corner so that they don’t see each other before the big reveal).

In Caleb and Maggie’s photo, he is dressed in his uniform, she in her gown. His hat rested on his leg and her hand covered her mouth as she cried. The moment was unbelievably emotional, even for those who don’t even know this couple personally.

As the marine and bride pray together, their photographer was able to catch the special moment on camera. And while that moment was just a still shot, it is so incredibly moving.

After Caleb took Maggie’s hand, he prayed out loud. He prayed for their marriage and asked God for their union to be “strong enough to serve as an example for all young couples.” His words brought tears to Maggie’s eyes.

“It broke me down to know that we felt the same way about God. It just made me happy. There were no dry eyes in the room,” said Maggie.

According to Mail Online, the couple talked to the media about the picture, and both couldn’t believe just how many people have been touched by their special moment.

“We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn’t want to take a step without it being in God’s will,” explained Caleb. “I prayed to God for my beautiful and intelligent wife that he blessed me with and the amazing family I was marrying into,” he added.

The marine and bride prayer photo has been viewed thousands of times in just three days.

Caleb and Maggie are on their honeymoon in Dollywood, Tennessee. They will soon be heading back home to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina where Caleb is based.

Another moving story went viral this Memorial Day weekend. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a man named Jesse Milbrat lost 180 pounds so that he could join the army and follow in his dad’s footsteps. Read more about that here.
