Sabrina, The Girl Whose Hair Color Magically Changed
After her unbelievable hair color change, this Sabrina might actually be the living reincarnation of Sabrina Spellman from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
Everyone got crazy over #TheDress, the black-and-blue or white-and-gold color controversy that swept the web in February. Now, a new viral content, another issue of color, is starting to create quite a buzz around the web—it’s Sabrina and #TheHair.
Before last month ended, YouTuber Sabrina Abu-Obeid started another color controversy as she posted a short video clip shot by her boyfriend showing her hair color magically changing under the kitchen lights.
Metro reports that Sabrina dyed her hair lilac and went ahead to show her boyfriend, DJ Monopoli, her new look. But as she walks out of the kitchen and onto the bathroom, DJ sees her hair color change right before his eyes. And what’s interesting to note, is that it did not only change from one color to another. It’s actually a myriad of shades gradually changing from point to point.
Sabrina tells Buzzfeed that DJ initially shot the video just to show her what he is seeing with this eyes.
He really wanted to show me what he saw so he took out his phone and shot a quick video, which was initially intended for only me to see.”
But after posting the video on social media sites, the color change video started to get viral and millions of people are getting intrigued by Sabrina and her magically changing hair color. Is it blue, purple, violet, or pink? It’s all those in just a span of how many seconds.
Sabrina notes in a Twitter post that the views of her hair color change video in YouTube shot up incredibly in a matter of 24 hours.

As of writing, the YouTube video Sabrina posted already racked more than 2 million views. The hair color change video started going viral from imgur, posted by Sabrina and DJ’s band, TeraBrite. And as of date, it is already at more than 1 million views.
Sabrina tells Buzzfeed that they didn’t expect the hair color change video to create that much controversy. DJ freaked out when he saw her hair color change in seconds and their move to post the video online got a lot of people freaked out as well.
We knew it would get some attention, but we definitely didn’t expect it to go as viral as it did.”
Sabrina and DJ’s viral hair color change video has already started trending in a couple of sites like Buzzfeed, Mashable, Cosmopolitan, and Distractify. It has also already been shown on Good Morning America and Today.
Sabrina Abu-Obeid is a hair color fanatic from Melbourne, Florida, and is more commonly known on YouTube as Sabrina. She and her boyfriend DJ are active YouTube vloggers and members of the band TeraBrite.
