Thomas Ravenel Talks Kathryn’s Ultimatum: Does He Regret The Relationship?
Thomas Ravenel has become a colorful figure on Southern Charm this season. On the first season of the show, Ravenel simply wanted to get back into politics and he really wanted to find a woman, so he could start a family. Thomas ended up with a younger woman, a baby girl, and a political career that was the laughing stock of many.
Now, Thomas Ravenel is reflecting on a season of drama, yelling and embarrassing political moves. Ravenel decided to end his relationship with Kathryn Calhoun on Facebook, which was completely heartbreaking to her. In addition, Thomas was accused of assaulting Kathryn’s stylist while she was away with the cast members.
According to a new Bravo report, Thomas Ravenel is now revealing how he felt seeing Kathryn at the Wounded Warrior Project’s benefit, since they had just broken up. Before the event, Calhoun had found out on Facebook that Thomas was no longer interested in having a relationship with her. The news broke her heart, so she gave him an ultimatum.
“The real question is…what didn’t I feel? The entire pros and cons list about this relationship flashed in neon letters in my head, I felt everything under the sun. What’s better for our daughter? To be in a turbulent relationship all the time or having distance with someone? I can’t erase all these thoughts of what it is like to live with this person day to day. How can that make a marriage?” Thomas Ravenel reveals after experiencing the Southern Charm finale.
Thomas is now revealing that he does have some regrets in regards to filming the show. However, it has nothing to do with Kathryn. Ravenel regrets running for office, while everything was so troublesome at home with Calhoun. Sure, they had a baby girl, and yes they moved to downtown Charleston, but there was little love in the relationship. The two have since broken up.
“Kathryn and I have been on and off for quite a while, but now we are off. I still love her to bits, but we are no longer together. We share a child we both adore and still get along. Our focus is bringing up Kensington. In the end I think the age gap was just too much. Twenty nine years is a big gap and in ten years time I will be in my sixties but Kathryn would just be out of her twenties. That is a big difference to bridge and it was just not possible. Who knows, one day we might get back together,” Thomas Ravenel has previously revealed about their relationship.
According to the Inquisitr, Ravenel’s previous Facebook posts about his relationship have included accusations of cheating and mentions of lawyers. It sounds like these two are better off apart than together.
