11-Year-Old Graduates: ‘Boy Genius’ Graduates College With Three Degrees, Heading To Med School?

An 11-year-old graduates from college earning not one, but three degrees, and has plans to go to med school. According to USA Today, Tanishq Abraham became the youngest graduate from American River College in California. He just started taking classes at the school last year, and has already completed enough course work to graduate.

“It feels good that I’m graduating with three associates degrees… one is math and physical sciences, then I’m going to get general science, and also foreign language studies,” Abraham explained. And he doesn’t plan on stopping. The youngster is excited for the next chapter of his life and plans to continue his education.

When an 11-year-old graduates college, it’s beyond clear that something very special is going on. While Tanishq doesn’t think of it as that big of a deal (and he said so), he is extremely smart, and has his whole life ahead of him to pretty much do whatever he wants. He seems to know, however, that getting an education is going to be the key to his success.

According to the Sacramento Bee, this kid went from kindergarten to college in just a few years.

“Tanishq started kindergarten at Heron Elementary a few years ago, skipped first grade, completed second grade, and started taking classes at American River College when he was 7, easily becoming its youngest student.”

And he has plans to continue his schooling in one of the toughest fields.

“Tanishq hopes to attend Stanford University or a University of California campus to major in biomedical engineering or a related field. First, he must complete some advanced science courses.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, this young man has big plans for the future. While he may have a few things on his “to do” list, he basically has his eyes set on the ultimate prize.

“I want to become a doctor, but I also want to become a medical researcher, and also the president of the United States,” he said. And he’s not the only one in his family with big things ahead of him. His family says that his 9-year-old sister, Tiara, is also quite smart. She is already taking classes at American River College and was recently inducted into the school’s honor society.

“She’s more into kind of the arts. She likes to sing,” explained dad Bijou Abraham. He added that his daughter is also taking classes in foreign language, learning to speak Spanish and Italian.
