The Olsen Twins Break John Stamos’ Heart: How Rude!

Why won’t the Olsen twins just have mercy on poor Uncle Jesse?

According to E! News, Full House actor John Stamos was devastated when Mary-Kate Olsen and Elizabeth Olsen opted against joining the Fuller House reunion show set to air on Netflix next year. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Stamos was miffed when the Olsen twins said that they had no clue Netflix was working on a Full House sequel. Back in April, he tweeted that this claim was “bulls**t.”

Unfortunately, getting angry at the Olsen twins probably wasn’t the best way to convince them to sign on for Fuller House. According to the Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Robert L. Boyett first broke the news that Mary-Kate and Ashley wouldn’t be appearing in the reunion show. Fuller House really only needed one twin since both girls played Michelle Tanner, but Boyett seemed to suggest that neither sister is all that interested in acting anymore.

“It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.”

In a series of sad tweets, John Stamos let his Twitter followers know that Mary-Kate and Ashley won’t be making an appearance on the show.

Stamos also retweeted one follower’s comment about how the Olsen twins “wouldn’t have a career” without Full House, and he hinted that the girls opted against reuniting with their old co-stars because the price wasn’t right. Judging from John Stamos’ Facebook post about Fuller House, it also seems like he might think that the Olsens don’t care about their fans as much as the other cast members do.

“Just so you reporters know – this is not a money gig for any of us- quite the opposite – we want to give the fans what they deserve for supporting us for so many years- we all just want to have fun – do it in a classy way on netflix and have a good time- sad that a few don’t share the rest of the cast’s opinion – i can only wish them the best.”

The Olsen twins probably would have appeared in just one episode of Fuller House. According to John Stamos, the series will begin with a reunion show, but it will mainly focus on D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), and Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin). Dave Coulier recently signed on to reprise his role as Uncle Joey, and Stamos has a guest-starring role as Uncle Jesse. Lori Loughlin and Bob Saget are in talks to appear on the show in some capacity.

Like her Full House father, D.J. Tanner will find herself widowed in Fuller House. She’s a pregnant mother of two boys, so her sister Stephanie, her BFF Kimmy, and Kimmy’s teen daughter move in with her to help out. The Olsen twins might not be joining the show, but perhaps one or more of its kid characters will become just as popular as Michelle Tanner. Stamos could also start begging the twins’ look-alike sister, Elizabeth Olsen, to fill in for them.

Are you sad that neither of the Olsen twins will be appearing on the Fuller House reunion show, or do you think that the show will be perfectly fine without them?
