Mama June On Josh Duggar Scandal: Claims TLC Knew For Years ‘And Didn’t Do Anything’

Mama June of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alleges TLC was aware of the accusations against Josh Duggar since 2006, but did nothing. She is livid that 19 Kids & Counting has yet to be officially canceled.

Mama June told ET that she feels “cheated” that her show was swiftly canceled when rumors surfaced that she was dating Mark McDaniel, who was convicted of molesting her daughter, Anna, when she was 8-years-old. She insists the Duggars should be given the same treatment as her family.

“I feel cheated still. I was honest with [TLC]. I told them about everything from the get go. They knew the story. They sealed Anna’s records because she was under 18.”

In Touch reported Thursday, that Josh Duggar had admitted to sexually molesting five minor girls, possibly including his sisters, between 2002 and 2003, when he was 14-years-old. After Duggar made a public apology on his Facebook page, saying he had “acted inexcusably,” TLC issued a statement that they had “pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air.”

Mama June claims TLC knew of Josh Duggar’s dark past, but hid it as they proceeded to film the wholesome family show.

“[TLC] knew about [Josh Duggar] since 2006 and didn’t do anything. They kept filming the show, but as soon as rumors started they canceled Honey Boo Boo quick. I think TLC kept it quiet. That happened with Anna and me. TLC covered it up.”

June Shannon threatened legal action if 19 Kids & Counting doesn’t meet the same demise as her own show.

“If they are not completely canceled I will be pissed, and I do have grounds for going after them, for canceling us and wrongfully firing us and not them.”

The 2006 police record outlining the Josh Duggar molestation incident was destroyed on Friday. USA Today reports, Springdale Police spokesman Scott Lewis, stated that while most records of this nature are kept “indefinitely,” they were ordered to expunge those of Josh Duggar.

“The judge ordered us yesterday to expunge that record. As far as the Springdale Police Department is concerned this report doesn’t exist.”

As reported by Inquisitr, Mike Huckabee came to Josh Duggar’s defense Friday. The former Arkansas governor, who has known the Duggars for years, stated on his Facebook page that the issue was handled by the family and authorities, so there is no reason to shame Josh Duggar and the innocent victims now. He scolded those trying to “discredit” the Duggars, saying it only served to reveal “their own insensitive bloodthirst.”

Jim Bob Duggar, a former state representative, and his wife Michelle, have remained active in state politics over the years, and recently attended Huckabee’s Republican presidential nominee kick-off event.

Do you think TLC helped hide Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal? Should his nearly decade-old police records have been destroyed or kept indefinitely?
