Christopher Chaney Pleads Guilty To Leaking Scarlett Johannson, Mila Kunis Nude Photos

Christopher Chaney, the man responsible for leaking nude photos of Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis onto the internet, has just plead guilty to nine felonies.

According to TMZ, Chaney reached a plea deal with prosecutors and plead guilty to various charges, including identity theft, unauthorized access to a protected computer, and wiretapping. Chaney will be sentenced in July.

The Associated Press reports that Chaney could face up to 60 years in prison and may be fined as much as $2.2 million.

Chaney was arrested in October as part of “Operation Hackerazzi.” Prosecutors said that Chaney hacked into the emails of over 50 people in the entertainment industry. Chaney said that he was able to hack into several email accounts by correctly guessing passwords. Chaney would use gossip articles to find out pet names, maiden names, and other common information that is used for passwords.

Chaney apologized for his actions shortly after his arrest, saying:

“I deeply apologize. I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience…. It started as curiosity and it turned into just being, you know, addicted to seeing the behind-the-scenes of what’s going on with these people you see on the big screen every day. I was almost relieved months ago when [the authorities] came in and took the computers… because I didn’t know how to stop doing it myself.”

Chaney will likely find himself behind bars soon but that doesn’t mean that private celebrity photos won’t continue to leak onto the internet. Since Chaney’s arrest, nude photos of Christina Hendricks, Heather Morris, and Olivia Munn have all leaked to the internet.

Do you think Christopher Chaney should get the maximum sentence?
