Pronounced Dead, Man Starts Moving And Breathing On The Way To Morgue

A 46-year-old man in Milwaukee was pronounced dead at his apartment by first responders, and on his way to the morgue he surprised them as he started moving and breathing, the Huffington Post reported yesterday. The man’s girlfriend, who had not heard from him in two days, had called in on him. He was found in his apartment “cold, pale and rigid” and pronounced dead.

“About 50 minutes later, the medical examiner arrived and notified the man’s family of his death. As the examiner readied the body to be taken to the morgue, the man began to move his left arm and right leg, the report said,” the Huffington Post reported, “Paramedics took the man, who has not been identified, to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.”

The man pronounced dead, Thomas Sancomb, was found dead after police were called to his apartment, the Independent reported. He was found to be cold and in rigor, so they didn’t attempt to revive and pronounced him dead.

“Police were called to an 11th story flat at an apartment block in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday after the 46-year-old’s girlfriend was worried she could not get in touch with him and he had a serious medical condition,” the Independent reported, “Arriving at the scene they found the man, Thomas Sancomb slumped at the foot of the bed and called for paramedics.”

After he started moving and breathing, the man who had minutes before been pronounced dead was quickly taken to a local hospital and placed in intensive care. The man’s brother reported he has a thyroid condition that put his body in a coma and lower his body temperature to 84 degrees.

The Inquisitr also reported on this man who was pronounced dead and started moving and breathing shortly after. The condition of his body caused by the thyroid condition lead first responders to believe he was dead.

“According to WISN, the 46-year-old Milwaukee man was considered officially deceased, and police had already contacted his family to inform them. But in a strange turn of events that responders still can’t explain, the supposedly dead man came back to life during the transportation of the body,” the Inquisitr reported.

What are the odds a dead man would come back to life like that, or was he not really dead when he started moving and breathing again? Perhaps its a lesson that humans aren’t always dead when that seems to be the case.
