‘iZombie’ Spoilers: Huge Reveals, Plus Will Liv Stop Blaine?

The first iZombie season has been a hit for the CW, and it’s hard to believe that the first season is already winding down. But before it does, there are some things that need to be taken care of, namely regarding Major’s investigation that has led him very, very close to finding out the truth about the existence of zombies and that something has to happen when it comes to Liv versus Blaine.

Major’s investigation into missing kids in iZombie season 1 has led him to Blaine’s business and an encounter with Blaine’s muscle man, Julien, that ended with him putting bullets in Julien only for his body to be gone when he called Clive over to show him. Then, with Liv refusing to get on board Ravi’s idea to tell Major the truth, Major ended up convinced he may be going crazy and checked himself into a treatment facility. However, it was there that a fellow patient presented him with a name for what he has seen: zombies.

Does that mean that Major will find out the truth soon? He’s getting awfully close, and Rose McIver told TVLine that these last iZombie season 1 episodes will show just that.

“He’s getting closer and closer to finding out about zombies and what they are and what Liv’s role in it all is. …There are some pretty huge reveals.”

In fact, in the next episode, Major tells Liv that the patient told him he saw zombies, as you can see in the promo the CW released for “Astroburger” below. Also on the Major front, he and Liv share a kiss and it looks like he finds Blaine’s shop. Speaking of Blaine, he shows up at the morgue, surprising Liv.

The CW has also released the official description of the first iZombie season finale, “Blaine’s World,” airing June 9, and it teases that Liv is going to have to make a decision.

“LIV FACES A TOUGH DECISION — After discovering new evidence in the Max Rager case, Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) pay a visit to Vaughn Du Clark (guest star Steven Weber) at Max Rager HQ. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) continues his search for a cure. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) makes Liv an offer she can’t refuse. Lastly, Major (Robert Buckley) finds himself in an unbelievable situation.”

What will that mean for Liv’s mission to stop Blaine?

As McIver told IGN, because Blaine killed Lowell, “she will not let him exist the way he does anymore and she’s been inspired with a real passion to bring him down,” as iZombie season 1 nears its finale.

Finally, Ravi has been working on trying to find a cure. There’s the question of what it would even mean for Liv if a cure can even be made for the zombies, and as McIver told Entertainment Weekly, a cure in itself could mean more problems.

“There is a lot of promise. I don’t think they know necessarily how to fine tune it. There may be side effects from whatever the cure is. Who knows how foolproof that may be.”

iZombie season 1 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW, and as the Inquisitr previously reported, it has already been picked up for a second season.
