Zack Clements Sees Jesus: Teen’s Afterlife Experience Draws Skeptics, Accuse Parents Of Giving Him Drugs

Texas teen Zack Clements saw Jesus after he collapsed at school during a football workout. He was declared clinically dead for 20 minutes and was unconscious for three days. When he woke from his condition, he shares that he saw Jesus and actually talked to him. Clements was in Fort Worth’s Children’s Medical Center when he told his parents of his experience.

In an interview the 17-year-old gave to People magazine, the boy recalls Jesus wearing a thick beard, having blue eyes, long ruffled hair, and was surrounded by angels.

“I realized it was Jesus.

“He put his hand on my shoulder and told me that everything was going to be all right. It made me feel like someone was watching over me and I was going to get through it. Since it happened, I feel like I’m a stronger person.”

Ever since Zack Clements’ Jesus incident, his parents have received a large volume of calls and comments from the public. Some are good, but some are bad. Critics have accused Zack’s parents of giving him drugs before school, says the teen’s father — Billy Clements.

“We’ve had people say he’s lying, or that we gave him a pill before school that day so it would look like he’d gone into cardiac arrest.

“People can argue science and logic, but they can’t argue somebody’s personal experience. They can’t take that away from Zack.”

The whole event occurred on May 5 when Zack was with some other students at football endurance training; he passed out on the football field.

Gary Bay is principal of the Christian high school and once worked as an ambulance crew volunteer. Bay says Zack’s situation was one of the “gravest” he’d ever seen.

“The situation was one of the gravest I’d seen.

“If everyone hadn’t worked on him as quickly and efficiently as they did, I’m not sure he would have made it.”

Dr. Lisa Roten was one of the cardiologists who helped treat Zack Clements before his Jesus experience. She said he was “legally dead for 20 minutes” and they “worried he may have suffered irreversible brain damage.”

Zack is thankful to Jesus and believes that’s why he’s here today, and feels more “humble.”

“I’m just really thankful to everybody who pulled together to help me that day.

“It’s kind of overwhelming. I guess you could say that the whole experience has made me a more humble person. I’m happy to be here.”

Zack Clements’ Jesus story is compelling for many to read about whether they believe he actually saw what he did or not. Doctors still aren’t sure what caused Zack to collapse. He’s has more tests to be run before being given the all-clear to take part in more rigorous sports activity.

His parents are in need of donations for his medical bills. Those can be made at You Caring on this page here.
