Black And Bleu Burger: Restaurant Apologizes For Rihanna Inspired Domestic Abuse Burger

A restaurant in Atlanta has come up with a tasty new burger that comes with a side of a tasteless joke. Chops and Hops has just unveiled the “Black and Bleu” burger which was apparently inspired by Chris Brown and Rihanna’s abusive relationship.

Chops and Hops writes on its Facebook page:

“@chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for a award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Caribbean spiced marinated sliced ribeye blackened then look out for the bleu cheese, sliced tomato, silver Lamborghini onions, and shredded romaine. Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.”

The new burger drew plenty of criticism and the restaurant eventually took down the Facebook post. Eater reports that the burger has been removed from the menu.

Do you think the “Black and Bleu” burger is offensive?

Chops and Hops has apologized for the domestic violence burger and assured its customers that they do not support domestic violence. The restaurant also said that proceeds from the burger would go to Project Safe, which works “end domestic violence through prevention and educational programs, crisis intervention and ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic violence.”

The restaurant writes:

“The owners of C&H would like to make sure everyone knows that we and our staff DO NOT SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Many of us have been affected by domestic violence in some manner and realize that this is no joke.”

What do you think about the “Black and Bleu” burger?
