Simon Cowell’s Home Broken Into By Crazy Lady With A Brick

Simon Cowell’s west London home was broken into over the weekend while he was downstairs watching TV.

A female broke into the X Factor judges upstairs area and rifled through belongings in his bedroom and bathroom. Apparently the woman used a brick to break a window and eventually Simon spotted the robber.

According to Cowell:

‘It was an absolutely terrifying experience. Seeing this woman standing there in my house was like something out of a horror movie.”

The talent show judge then tells the Daily Mail:

“It was frightening but I’m going to take it as a warning. In some ways I’ve been lucky. You have to look on the positive side because it could have been a whole lot worse … I now know that I need to improve my security. She could have had a gun.”

While Simon Cowell was definitely shaken up by the run-in with the female burglar she has been arrested and identified as Leanne Zaloumis, 29.

According to Cowell’s rep Max Clifford:

“Strange as it might seem he feels lucky, because it could have been a gun or a knife in her hand.”

In the meantime it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for Cowell to install a top of the line security system inside his nearly $15 million property.

At least Simon Cowell won’t have to worry about Leanne returning to his home anytime soon, the judge overseeing the case has ordered her to be detained until her June 12 hearing at which time she will likely face more time behind bars.
