Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules is up and running. On Thursday, executive producer and one of the stars of the show, Lisa Vanderpump, confirmed that filming on the new season has begun. Judging by Lisa’s tweet, season 4 may the most dramatic yet. She called the first day of filming “pretty challenging.”
Filming apparently began on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Jax Taylor tweeted that the first day of filming was to take place the next day.
“We are back!!! Day one starts tomorrow.”
Viewers will see Jax looking a bit different in the new season. As he did in season 3, Jax started off the season with nose surgery. On Wednesday, he showed off his nose bandage.
Jax’s good friend and co-star, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney’s boyfriend, picked him up and made sure he had his favorite snacks on hand as he recuperated.
Another person who has also begun filming is Kristen Doute, whose secret hookups with Jax triggered the demise of her long relationship with Tom Sandoval. In season 3, she was fired from SUR, prompting many viewers to wonder if she would return for another season of Vanderpump Rules. On Wednesday, Kristen, with a tweet, pretty much confirmed that viewers will indeed see her. Her tweet indicated that she’s already having a hard time.
Scheana Marie, who got married to Mike Shay, on season 3, also pretty much confirmed that she’s back.
“Here we go again……”
Since Tom Sandoval and Katie Maloney were at the NBCUniversal Upfronts in New York City last week, it’s also likely that they, along with their significant others, Ariana Madix and Tom Schwartz, have signed back up for another season as well.
One person who won’t be on season 4 of Vanderpump Rules is Stassi Schroeder. When one person asked Kristen Doute what she’ll do now that Stassi is gone, Kristen told the person to wait and see.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Stassi recently said during a magazine interview that being on the show is just too hard for her.
“It’s really hard to be in a show where you are being played to be one step hated of everybody else and rip each other to shreds. We’re not paid to sit around and get along.”
Stassi Schroeder talked about leaving the show before, only to return for the third season. Yet this time it seems to be for real. Stassi has just confirmed on her Podcast radio show that she voluntarily left Vanderpump Rules.
“The decision to leave the show was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, and it’s been something that I have deliberated over for two entire years now. I was so proud of myself when I actually came to a point in my life where I felt confident enough, not just as a woman, but as a person, to be able to say that I’m going to walk away from a lot of financial security. I’m going to walk away from fame. I’m going to walk away from opportunities to do other things, all because I don’t want to be in a situation that doesn’t make me happy.”
