Bill Murray Drunk: Comedian Jumps Out Of Cake And Falls Out Of Chair On Live TV

Bill Murray is making headlines, but it’s not for his role in a movie or television show. It’s for his drunken antics on live television. The comedian must have partied too hard with David Letterman on The Late Show.

Murray, 68, made an appearance on MSNBC’s The Last Word to discuss David Letterman’s final show. He admitted to host Lawrence O’Donnell that he partied too hard by having a few glasses of wine during a celebratory dinner with the late-night host. Murray agreed to make a last-minute appearance on MSNBC, but then fell out of his chair as the cameras were still rolling!

The show quickly went to a commercial break after Bill’s embarrassing fall. The Ghostbusters star slurred his words as he tried to explain why he fell out of his chair.

“I just did the Letterman show, then went to dinner and had oysters, rose wine, red wine, duck and a hanger steak and then rushed here to do your show.”

Yeah, it was totally the oysters, steak, and duck that got Bill Murray drunk. The actor also noted that the faulty chair was the cause behind his fall. Sure, Bill.

The Groundhog star surprised Letterman by jumping out of a cake that had the words, “Goodbye Dave” on the front. Bill also downed a large bottle of Slovenia vodka with Letterman before having his dinner. As Letterman drank the vodka, he made a pucker face and coughed up the liquor.

The host then joked, “Is there any more cake?” Murray was Letterman’s first guest in 1982. He also became the last — and most memorable — guest on Wednesday, May 20.

That’s not all that Bill Murray did after his appearance on the nighttime talk show. He also walked down on Broadway covered in cake. Bill also took photos with fans as he sang, “Give Peace a Chance.”

One lucky fan tweeted, “Bill Murray just walked down B’way singing what sounded like ‘Give Peace a Chance’ covered in what looked to be cake.”

He even shared a photo of Bill Murray posing with fans. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Murray wasn’t the only memorable guest on The Late Show with David Letterman. Bob Dylan made an exclusive performance as late night hosts like Jimmy Kimmel paid their respects to the legendary host before he ended his show on late Wednesday night.

Bill Murray last made headlines for his appearance in Barry Levinson’s Rock the Kasbah, which is currently in production. The actor looks like an aging and burned out rockstar. In Rock the Kasbah, he plays an out-of-work music producer who brings his last client for a tour in Afghanistan. Murray can also been seen acting in Aloha, starring Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper, which is out in theaters on May 29.
