Thomas Ravenel Regrets Breaking Up With Kathryn Dennis On Facebook, Kathryn Lashes Out At Whitney Sudler-Smith

Thomas Ravenel regrets breaking up with Kathryn Dennis on Facebook, not because he wants her back, but because he now knows that breaking up with someone so publicly is a bit immature. In his latest blog for BravoTV, posted on Monday night, Thomas talked about not feeling supported by Kathryn and breaking up with her on the social media site.

On Monday night’s episode of Southern Charm, Kathryn decided to stay on Jekyll Island with the rest of the group instead of going back to Thomas after it hit the news that her hair stylist and friend had filed assault charges against him. Once the group got back to Charleston, Thomas railed to Whitney Sudler-Smith that Kathryn could have helped the situation if she had immediately corroborated his account of what happened that night when the stylist and friend were at their home. It was then revealed that Thomas had broken up with Kathryn via Facebook.

In his blog, Thomas expressed regret.

“Absolutely. Perhaps I should’ve just texted her. Paul Simon says it best in his song ‘Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover’… which predates Facebook. Perhaps he can rewrite the song to, ’50 Ways to Leave Your Lover on Social Media’. Seriously, my impulse was fueled by emotions which turned into the action of breaking up on Facebook. I regret that. I could have put myself on a 24 hour wait list for breaking up. I could have handled the situation better by taking the time to think about how I felt. To calm down, in order to make an honest assessment of the situation, starting with arranging a time we could meet at a public place to have a face to face conversation. That would have been more courageous and shown more integrity.”

Thomas Ravenel also blasted Craig Conover for convincing Kathryn Dennis to stay at Jekyll Island instead of going home to support him.

“It was surprising and yet not surprising at all. Knowing Craig’s recent choices anyone could see he wanted someone to party with and not judge him for it. Kathryn seemed to fit the bill.”

Despite publicly breaking up with Kathryn, Thomas did get back with her, only to later blast her as a cheater and break up with her again, again on Facebook. As the Inquisitr reported in late March, Thomas posted a lengthy post, which has since been deleted, in which he claimed that Kathryn cheated on him. He even posted a snapshot of a text message exchange between Kathryn and a friend that he claimed proved him right. Kathryn quickly replied to the post to tell Thomas that what he was doing was “completely ridiculous” and to delete the post immediately. Perhaps Thomas, now that he knows that blasting and breaking up with someone on social media is immature, really won’t do it again?

As for Kathryn, as the episode aired, she slammed Whitney Sudler-Smith for interfering with her relationship with Thomas.

Are Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis now back together? Since Kathryn later retweeted a link to an article proclaiming that she will be just fine without Thomas, it seems that the Southern Charm couple is still broken up.
