Maci Bookout Wreck: Pregnant ‘Teen Mom’ In Wreck, ‘I Keep Having Flashbacks And Nightmares’
Maci Bookout’s wreck was shown on Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom OG.
The pregnant teen mom revealed she was in a serious wreck with her 6-year-old son Bentley in January, and admitted to her boyfriend Taylor McKinney that she still has nightmares over the traumatic incident.
“I keep having flashbacks and nightmares,” Maci told Taylor. “Just replaying it in my head over and over and over again.”
While the wreck didn’t injure the MTV star, Bentley, or her unborn daughter Jayde, it did leave her pretty shook up. According to Us Weekly, Bookout’s car flipped three times after colliding with another car that had blown out a tire. The photos, shown in the episode, show Maci’s car toppled over after a third car hit it from behind.

He didn’t cry or anything,” Maci said of Bentley’s reaction, according to the International Business Times. “It was crazy.” However, Bentley does seem to be a bit nervous when he gets in a vehicle. “He’s like, how fast are you going? What’s the speed limit?”

Coincidentally, Maci’s ex-boyfriend, and Bentley’s dad, Ryan Edwards was also involved in a serious car crash. Ryan claimed that the accident wasn’t a big deal, but he allegedly hit an SUV while reaching for his cell phone. Maci discovered later how serious Ryan’s crash was and found out that he wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time. This merited a sit-down between Maci and Ryan to determine Bentley’s safety.
“Sometimes, not all the time,” Edwards replied when Bookout asked if Bentley sat in a booster seat when he rode with him. “When I don’t have one, it’s not a big deal because when I was his age, I didn’t wear one. The law says you gotta have one, but I don’t really push the issue.”
“He has to be in a car seat no matter what,” she reminded him.
“I’m just afraid of worst-case scenarios,” Maci told her friend. “I don’t want to take Bentley away from Ryan, but I’m going to be honest, I don’t want Bentley around Ryan if no one else is around. I’m done dealing with him. I gave up on him four years ago. I can’t fix him.”
