Jessica Simpson flaunts her bikini body in a swimsuit campaign, and it’s not just to show off her weight loss. The singer/actress is boosting her profile as a fashion designer, reported E News.
Photographed for the newest Jessica Simpson Collection ad, the pictures emphasize the southwest theme in Jessica’s spring-summer 2015 collection. The attire is available both online and at Nordstrom, with sales tags such as $106 for a swimsuit typifying the collection’s price point.
As to just precisely how Jessica got that bikini body? Her celebrity fitness trainer Harley Pasternak shared his secrets with Glamour.
Harley, who also trains Ariana Grande and Megan Fox, emphasizes the importance of balancing nutrients, including getting over the fear of fat that some share.
“My clients have to eat fat,” declared Pasternak. “The one thing we talk about doing [for everyone] is watching their sugar intake and making sure they get enough protein, enough fiber, and enough fat.”
As to those who are into the cutting out gluten, eliminating dairy, and avoiding starchy carbohydrates? Harley contends that’s only necessary for those with true allergies.
“Only 1 to 2 percent of adults have a real food allergy. This gluten thing is a…whatever, it’s not an allergy for most people. When it comes to dairy, some of our clients have a [lactose] intolerance—85 percent of African Americans, 60 percent of Asian Americans.”
However, Pasternak also caters to his clients’ preferences.
“Ariana Grande, she’s vegan, and she loves daikon, lotus, adzuki beans—almost like a macrobiotic Japanese [diet],” said Harley.
As for Megan Fox, fish is essential.
“Megan Fox finally listened to me…she is now a salmon fan. She will have salmon at least once a day. She’ll go have a bunch of salmon sashimi and she’ll have a cucumber salad and miso soup and some edamame.”
For Jessica Simpson, losing those post-pregnancy pounds meant following the Weight Watchers diet and combining it with exercise guided by Harley, as the Inquisitr reported.
Choosing Weight Watchers’ jump-start program, Jessica focuses on unlimited non-starchy vegetables combined with lean protein. She also enjoys sugar-free desserts.
The weight loss program combines support from other dieters with flexible eating plans. In recent years, Weight Watchers also has expanded to include food products ranging from desserts to cookbooks.
And Simpson swears by the benefits of working out, both in terms of working out with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak and walking four miles daily, which she tracks with a pedometer.
“I think staying active is the best thing you can do. Get a pedometer,” suggested Jessica.
