Kaitlyn Bristowe Shares Andi Dorfman’s ‘Bachelorette’ Advice, Admits She Thought About Quitting

Ahead of The Bachelorette premiere tonight, Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed to OK! Magazine, during a conference call earlier today, that she received some advice from a person with first-hand knowledge on how to get through the entire process. While Kaitlyn didn’t get any advice from her former flame, Chris Soules, since “he’s a busy man,” she did get some advice from former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman.

“She just told me that just to always stick to who Kaitlyn is and to always go with how I’m actually feeling, how my heart feels, not to get lost in all, you know, the Bachelorette world, to actually just go with my heart.”

After it was announced on Chris’ After the Final Rose special that both Kaitlyn and Britt Nilsson would be on the next The Bachelorette, Andi made clear her displeasure.

Andi also made clear who should’ve been the sole Bachelorette.

Yet, Andi Dorfman has since become more open-minded about the whole thing. Hours before the premiere, Andi tweeted a welcoming message to both Britt and Kaitlyn.

Sharing the spotlight with Britt Nilsson hasn’t been easy for Kaitlyn Bristowe. Kaitlyn admitted to OK! that she thought about quitting. She talked about being in shock upon learning the news that the 25 men, on night one, would meet both her and Britt and decide who would stay for the rest of the season.

“It was definitely unexpected and I was shocked. And yes – I was kind of just beside myself because I didn’t know what to think. I wasn’t excited about it, but I just really had to take a step back and think of the light at the end of the tunnel… I was kind of all over the map with how I felt about it. At one point, I was like, ‘well if this is how I find a husband, then I guess.’ And then there are times I was like, ‘no, I don’t need to put myself through that kind of stress.’ But yes, I was kind of all over the place.”

In regards to the public criticism that having the men decide who would be the next Bachelorette is sexist and degrading, Kaitlyn disagreed with that assessment.

“I wouldn’t have done it if I thought it was the most degrading thing in the world. At what point do you say it’s crazy to do that? I think it was just a little twist and turn that they decided to do. And I just think the main thing we all have to think about was the end result and finding one person.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Britt Nilsson has also admitted that she wasn’t sure she wanted to do TheBachelorette if it meant competing with Kaitlyn Bristowe. Britt also dismissed the idea that having two Bachelorettes is sexist and degrading, saying that she just thinks the producers couldn’t make up their mind.
