‘Teen Mom OG’: Fans Slam Amber Portwood For Drinking On Her Birthday

Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood seemed to be having a happy birthday until people online started throwing shade at the MTV reality star. According to reports from MStarz, some fans were concerned and/or unhappy with Amber for revealing that she had been drinking wine during her birthday celebration with fiance Matt Baier.

As many Teen Mom fans know, Amber Portwood has been in rehab for addiction issues, mostly prescription medication, and even went to prison for over a year when she could not comply with her rehab orders from the court. So, when fans saw Amber, who is over the legal drinking age of 21, share a photo of a picnic she was having with Matt Baier, which included wine, they became a little concerned.

When one fan asked Amber if she was drinking she answered honestly via Twitter.

“Yes I was I don’t have a drinking problem never have I was an addict. People yes I drink wine on special occasions.. my problem was pills never alcohol. I’m 25. I can drink. I don’t have a problem with alcohol.”

Meanwhile, Amber is said to be loving her life post-prison. She is engaged to a man much older than herself, Matt, who has moved in with her. Portwood is also spending more time with her daughter, Leah Shirley, and trying hard to co-parent well with her ex-boyfriend Gary, who recently just welcomed his second daughter, Emilee, with his girlfriend Kristina.

MTV reports that Amber Portwood’s Teen Mom OG co-stars really like Matt, and that they are happy for Amber in her new sober lifestyle.

“Everybody loved him. I know I don’t want to sound like it’s so perfect, but honestly, none of them had anything bad to say. Even when I kind of like, pulled them to the side and was like, ‘Do you think he’s cute? Do you think he’s too old? Like, tell me what do you think,’ they were like, ‘No, no, you guys are great together. No, we really like Matt.'”

Unfortunately, not everyone seems to like each other on the Teen Mom OG cast. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham have some bad blood that stems from Maci’s reaction to Farrah returning to the reality show. The pair were seen in a recent episode going head to head, and fans thought the drama was pretty crazy
