Louis Tomlinson Is Catty — But Stops At Fat-Shaming Naughty Boy, Liam Payne

Louis Tomlinson is in a well-known battle with Naughty Boy and Zayn Malik on Twitter — but Louis Tomlinson has done a good job of showing that he does not fight dirty. After all, it was not so long ago that Liam Payne was being fat-shamed on Twitter and Louis Tomlinson stuck up for him.

Around the end of March, 2014, Liam Payne was called out for being “fat,” and Louis Tomlinson showed up for his friend to stop the fat shaming on social media. Oddly, despite the fact that Liam Payne does not have weight management issues, fans were calling him fat.

Would Louis Tomlinson also be considered fat to fans if Liam Payne is thought of as being big? No matter what fans think about their body size, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson made it clear that fat-shaming is never acceptable.

Entertainment Tonight quotes Liam Payne’s Instagram around the first week of April 2014 as saying the following.

“Now just because I’m sick of seeing this everyday so I just want to clear up what the media do to people these days. Is it wrong to be normal? Or do I have to look like an Olympic swimmer just to get your approval into the cool kids [club].”

While there is a line in the sand that Louis Tomlinson refuses to cross, some One Direction fans do not feel the same way about fat shaming — especially when it comes to Naughty Boy.

How bad is the situation between Naughty Boy and Louis Tomlinson at the present? Weeks after the Naughty Boy and Zayn Malik versus Louis Tomlinson Twitter war, it appears that Naughty Boy is too afraid to call Louis Tomlinson — if you believe Seventeen Magazine’s May 14 article.

What does Louis Tomlinson say about the situation with Naughty Boy and Zayn Malik? As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Louis Tomlinson was on the Late Late Show with James Corden on May 15. At that time, Louis Tomlinson stated things were “on good terms” with Zayn Malik.

But when Louis Tomlinson ended his statement about the state of his and Zayn’s current relationship, he said “no qualms” — and his body language and voice tone seemed to be hesitant.

Despite any feelings Louis Tomlinson has for or against Naughty Boy, cutting him down to size by calling him fat was not in Louis Tomlinson’s arsenal of weapons with Liam Payne. It is likely Louis Tomlinson is not a fat-shamer.

For this reason, One Direction fans should use caution with ttweets about Naughty Boy’s weight problem — or they may have Louis Tomlinson fuming.

Unfortunately, some of the tweets in response to Naughty Boy versus Louis Tomlinson drama are generally mean-spirited and have recently started including the hashtag #NaughtyBoyDontEatZayn.

For example, “I do realize fat shaming is wrong, but how do I stop laughing? We are the best fandom. #NaughtyBoyDontEatZayn”

What is interesting is that this idea that Naughty Boy should be fat-shamed goes back on Twitter to November 8 when @PugStyles said, “I know that rock eating square headed sumo sized fat *** Naughty Boy did not just call Ariana Grande ugly.”

Following that, there are several other insulting tweets about Naughty Boy being fat between November and March. Months before Zayn Malik left One Direction and joined forces with Naughty Boy, fans were commenting on their two names coming up together in the media — and used those headlines to fat-shame Naughty Boy.

The fat-shaming of Naughty Boy that Louis Tomlinson eventually shut down was officially rolling on December 3, which is when @RNBKilam tweeted, “@NaughtyBoyMusic Hi Mr. Naughty Boy, how do you feel about Zayn calling you fat.”

Twitter user @JennAsUsChrist says soon after on January 16, “Naughty Boy is fat & uses Zayn for fame. I wish Zayn would see that.”

On Twitter, fans are thankful that Louis Tomlinson is doing the right thing.

User @LWTMotel supports Louis Tomlinson by saying, “If you are gonna hate anyone, hate Naughty Boy if you want but also don’t fat shame him it’s v ugly to do that.”

Another person, @HonestFandom, states, “1D fans get mad when someone fat shames Liam but when they shame Naughty Boy its okay.. this tea is sweet.”

One Direction fan @invisibleziam states, “You might not like Naughty Boy but fat shaming is wrong.”

Thankfully, despite the hundreds of tweets on Twitter calling Naughty Boy fat, things like the @IsNaughtyBoyFat Twitter account has less than 50 followers — proving, like Louis Tomlinson, 1D are no fans of fat shaming.
