WWE News: Top WWE Diva Injured At WWE Live Event, Update On WWE TV Status
The reason WWE tells its audience to “not try this at home” is due to the danger of sports entertainment and pro wrestling altogether. At any point in a WWE match, one of the competitors can sustain an injury without even blinking. That’s why wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, Edge, and many others suffered career-threatening injuries at a young age. The bumps taken on a daily basis take a huge toll on the body.
That said, an injury was unfortunately sustained at a WWE live event last night, and while the WWE superstar that it happened to isn’t the most popular, she’s an integral part of the WWE Divas division and its rise in the pro wrestling world.
According to Daily Wrestling News, a top WWE diva was injured last night at a WWE house show and the result of the injury might not be a good one.
“Brie Bella may have been injured at Friday’s WWE live event in State College, Pennsylvania.
“During The Bella Twins vs. Naomi and Tamina Snuka, Brie was going at it with Tamina when she landed bad on her shoulder. The referee threw up the dreaded ‘X’ sign and trainers came out to tend to Brie.”
Brie Bella is a big part of the WWE Divas division in the current product. Along with her sister, Nikki Bella, the current WWE Divas champion, they are now a face duo that is feuding with Naomi and Tamina. After Naomi pulled off a successful heel turn earlier this month, she’s gaining steam in the WWE Divas division.
Since AJ Lee and Paige’s feud, the WWE Divas are gaining traction. With the overwhelming popularity of the NXT Women’s division, female wrestling is on the rise. Losing Brie Bella to a long-term injury is not best for business. It’s no secret that Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan, her husband, are sick of dealing with injuries.
In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Daniel Bryan is on the verge of another surgery and a return to WWE television. Bella has remained by Bryan’s side during his entire trek through injuries and heartbreak. There’s a video of Brie reacting to Bryan’s announcement on WWE Raw this past week. He relinquished the Intercontinental Championship in an act of respect and valor.
For the WWE Divas division, this is the last thing they need — an injury to a top star. The injury bug is hitting the WWE hard these past few weeks. Hideo Itami and Sami Zayn both sustained injuries, which took a big toll on WWE NXT programming. Brie Bella, if healthy, will help Nikki Bella in their program with Naomi and Tamina. One Bella without the other just isn’t successful.
