Vanessa Lachey Wants A Boy
Even though she has a while to go in her pregnancy, Vanessa Lachey (Minnillo) is really hoping to have a baby boy with husband Nick Lachey.
The ex-MTV VJ has revealed on Twitter that it’s always been her wish, tweeting, “I’m excited either way! But I always wanted a boy 1st. Just a healthy baby.”
The tweet caused quite a stir, and for clarification Vanessa took to twitter as not to mince her words, tweeting, “#ToBeClear @NickSLachey I are praying for a healthy baby First Foremost! I just always envisioned a boy 1st to take care of his siblings. But a babygirl would be just as much of a blessing…and she’d have @NickSLachey wrapped around her finger! Haha!”
As for being prepared, the two are vowing to be ready for either sex, having already picked out a girl name. However, they’re still deciding on a name if it’s a boy.

With Kelly he dished on the upcoming pregnancy and his thoughts about fatherhood in general, telling host Kelly Ripa, I’ve had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it’s actually here, it’s overwhelming.”
Vanessa and Nick wed this past year after five years of dating and a short separation. Although Nick let the big news slip out on Live! With Kelly, the couple officially announced their pregnancy earlier this month. Vanessa is said to be due late this summer or possibly early in the fall.
