Lydia McLaughlin Weighs In On Tamra’s Baptism, Alexis Bellino Insists Brooks Ayers’ Cancer Diagnosis Is Not Fake

Lydia McLaughlin may not be a part of the current cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but she does have an opinion about the show, and during a May 15 interview with TooFab, she let her thoughts be heard.

Ahead of her latest red carpet appearance, Lydia McLaughlin got wind of the highly dramatic 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, as well as the trailer, which featured a few shocking moments among the cast. During one of those moments, McLaughlin’s on-screen nemesis, Tamra Barney, was seen being baptized. A few scenes later, she was seen at what appeared to be an adult toy store, and after that, she was seen running naked down a pier.

Speaking of the baptism, Lydia McLaughlin wondered if Barney got the idea to turn to faith amid filming on season 10 from her recently released book.

“I just wrote a book, ‘Beyond Orange County,’ about my faith. Now that Tamra got baptized, I’m wondering if she read my book and got inspired!”

As for Meghan King Edmonds’ claim in The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10 trailer, which accused Brooks Ayers of faking his cancer diagnosis, Alexis Bellino denied any such thing.

“100 percent, there is no way anybody could fake that. He is sick, and he’s fighting for his life. How dare anyone try to make a joke of that! He needs prayer, not jokes.”

Lydia McLaughlin only starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County for one season before opting out of a reality television career. Since leaving the show, Lydia McLaughlin has focused on family, welcoming her third child with husband Doug. She’s also established friendships with some of her former co-stars.

During the event earlier this week, Lydia McLaughlin spent time with Bellino, and the pair shared a selfie online. Lydia McLaughlin is also friends with former housewife Gretchen Rossi.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lydia McLaughlin recently revealed she’d like to return to the show. Speaking to Wetpaint Entertainment, Lydia McLaughlin revealed the following.

“I say in the book that I would be open to maybe going back one day if I felt like it was my calling, or, you know… I don’t think that there was like, ‘This happened, so I left.’ It was just the stage of life that I was in. I wanted to have another baby, and I felt like the first season I did was very draining, and I needed to just focus on myself and kind of get back to who I know I am to be.”

Lydia McLaughlin will not be seen on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10.
