Renee Zellweger: Gala Showcases Radiant Look After Plastic Surgery Controversy And Wedding Hints
Renee Zellweger attended a gala that reflected her radiant appearance. Honoring Paul Newman, the charity event allowed the Bridget Jones actress to join some of her favorite gal pals, reported People.
The SeriousFun Children’s Network charity gave Renee the opportunity to help Newman’s beloved cause of helping children in need. Others paying tribute to Paul Newman included Jamie Foxx, Jay Leno, Michael Keaton, Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Rhea Pearlman, Carole King, Anjelica Huston, and Burt Bacharach. And all remembered Paul Newman, a strong supporter for ill children.
“Tonight is really about Paul Newman. And Paul Newman, what a giant,” praised Bening of the late, great actor. “I met him at one of the first events I went to for these camps. It was a small dinner, and I got to sit next to him. And he was so charming. He was so handsome, but he was also modest and had true humility.”
And at 46, the Jerry Maguire actress is making it clear that she too wants to pay it forward, as she was also seen in attendance recently at the ALS Association Golden West Chapter’s One Starry Night.
Thrilled with her relationship with Doyle Bramhall II, a musician who she has been dating for two years, Renee has, however, remained somewhat in seclusion since the plastic surgery “did she or didn’t she” controversy erupted.
That controversy began when Zellweger walked the red carpet in October at Elle’s 21st annual Women in Hollywood Awards. Many did not recognize her because every aspect of her face, from chin to forehead, looked dramatically different.
Amid rumors of plastic surgery, Renee denied that she underwent any procedures. But the medical talk show The Doctors dissected photos of Zellweger’s noticeably altered face, alleging she had cosmetic surgery, as the Inquisitr reported.
Emphasizing that he is not her plastic surgeon, Dr. Drew Ordon pointed to a photo and said that he detected an incision line in her forehead. Based on that discovery and her altered upper face, Dr. Ordon said that Renee underwent a brow lift.
“Clearly they have brought things up,” said the plastic surgeon, pointing to the differences between Zellweger’s older photos and current images.
In addition to the brow lift, Dr. Ordon speculated that Renee also underwent upper eyelid surgery. He noted the changes in her cheeks and emphasized that while she looks great, she also had volume added to counter the effects of aging.
Trying to ignore the plastic surgery comments, Renee and her boyfriend are planning to be wed soon, according to OK magazine.
After getting more and more intimate during their two years together, they may make it a wedding on the beach, celebrating their romance with the sun and the sand.
