On today’s show with Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez performed a medley of her greatest hits to resounding applause. They then chatted about American Idol and JLo’s future plans.
Before JLo hit the stage, Ellen DeGeneres said how much she admires 45-year-old Jennifer Lopez, saying she can act, she can sing, she can dance, and she could probably even “tear a telephone directory in half with her bare hands,” she’s that multi-talented.
Ellen added that she loves the fact that Jennifer Lopez has taught us all that “love doesn’t cost a thing,” although she disagreed to a certain extent because Portia apparently loves cashmere. Mind you, that song is included in the medley sung by JLo.
Watch Jennifer Lopez sing in the video above as she launches into a spirited medley of her greatest and most popular hits, including others such as “Jenny From a Block,” “Get Right,” “If You Had My Love,” and “On the Floor.”
As reported by Just Jared, JLo wore a stunning custom-made red Zuhair Murad outfit for the stage performance and totally wowed the audience and most probably the dancers surrounding her too.

After the musical performance, Jennifer Lopez sat down for a chat with Ellen and they discussed the all-important topic of American Idol. This will be the final season for JLo, especially with her new upcoming residency in Las Vegas, reported recently on the Inquisitr.
However, Jennifer said that nothing is set in stone, so to speak.
“You know, I don’t believe anything. Ya know it’s not over till it’s over. So I just feel like you never know. Yes they’ve announced it’s the last season next year, but it’s ya know. After the finale this week and you feel that moment. You remember why you love this show.”
She added that the show is about “dreams, it’s about everything that America is about.” Ellen then referred to how many times Cher had retired and Jennifer Lopez responded by asking how many times the Rolling Stones had gone on their farewell tour.
So for fans of Jennifer on American Idol, there is still hope indeed. In the meantime, everyone can watch Jennifer Lopez sing live on the stage as she opens her residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas starting January 20, 2016.
