Sorry, Kate Middleton: Anna Kendrick Insults Princess Charlotte [Video]

Kate Middleton probably won’t be having tea with Anna Kendrick anytime soon — the Pitch Perfect 2 star just majorly dissed Princess Charlotte.

The birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s second child was an event that the whole world celebrated, and many royal watchers just can’t get over what a cutie Princess Charlotte is. However, Anna Kendrick doesn’t see what all the fuss is about.

During an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Anna was brutally honest about what she thinks of the royal baby.

“I don’t know why anybody cares about the royal baby,” Kendrick said, according to People. “It’s a baby. It hasn’t done anything. It hasn’t achieved anything. It was just born.”

Kendrick then proceeded to take things too far by body-shaming Will and Kate’s baby, and it’s a good thing that Princess Charlotte isn’t old enough to understand her insults.

“It just looks like every baby! All babies look like sacks of potatoes!”

Maybe Anna isn’t worried about hurting Kate Middleton’s feelings because she’s also royalty — the actress did play Cinderella in Into the Woods, after all. You can check out the rest of Anna’s comments about the royal baby below.

Luckily for Charlotte, she doesn’t have to deal with haters like Anna — she’s surrounded by admirers who think that she’s the greatest thing since buttered crumpets. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Prince Charles is thrilled that he has a granddaughter because she can be his nursemaid when he’s an old, decrepit king. According the Mirror, Queen Elizabeth is happy that the royal family got another dose of girl power, and Prince Harry is also a big fan of Kate Middleton’s little princess — he’s fulfilling his duties as an uncle by spoiling Charlotte with lots of toys.

According to Racked, the Duchess of Cambridge is doing her best to give her daughter a normal childhood. Kate could have a personal chef prepare her family’s meals, but, according to former royal chef Carolyn Cobb, the mother actually enjoys cooking for her husband and kids.

“Yes, Kate does quite a lot of the cooking at the moment,” Cobb said. “She comes from a normal background and a normal home where she’s always cooked for herself. And what I’ve always heard is that William enjoys spending time with her family because they just eat together at the kitchen table like a normal family.”

Princess Charlotte is still too young to partake of her mother’s meals, but maybe someday Kate will pass on her new kitchen tradition by teaching her daughter and her son how to cook.

Do you think Kate Middleton would find Anna Kendrick’s comment about Princess Charlotte insulting, or would she agree that the world makes too much fuss over a baby?
