Nancy Gordeuk Fired As Principal, But She’ll Still Be Paid By School — Find Out Why

Nancy Gordeuk is no longer the principal of TNT Academy thanks to an outcry over her decidedly racist rant this past week. Gordeuk was let go after she was caught on camera singling out black students and their families during a graduation ceremony.

According to WXIA, the board of directors voted to dismiss Nancy from her position. They sent a statement about their decision to the Georgia NAACP.

“In light of recent events, the board of directors of TNT Academy has moved to dismiss Nancy Gordeuk as principal. During the coming transition, we will continue to prioritize support for our most recent graduates. Moreover, we will continue our commitment to providing students with the best educational classes, transcription services, and academic credit recovery possible.”

The racially charged outburst by Nancy Gordeuk came about after the school’s valedictorian was delayed from making a graduation speech. She’d accidentally ended the program early, and people were beginning to leave prior to her attempting to correct the error. Apparently a group of individuals were impatient to leave and were making their sentiments known. Gordeuk began to rant at the angry families, an event that was captured on one attendant’s cellphone.

“I’m thinking y’all owe this young man an apology!”

She insulted one student as a “goober” and “coward” as the crowd grows increasingly restless and uncomfortable. Some members of the audience moved to leave and were singled out racially.

“You people are being so rude to not listen to this speech. It was my fault that we missed the speech in the program… Look who’s leaving! All the black people!”

When confronted about her behavior after the graduation ceremony, Nancy attempted to deflect her behavior as being caused by Satanic forces.

“The devil was in the house and came out from my mouth,” she said. “I deeply apologize for my racist comment and hope that forgiveness is in your hearts.”

Although Gordeuk was officially let go as principal, she will continue to earn money through TNT Academy. How is that possible? It turns out that Gordeuk is the owner. This fact has led to some skepticism on the part of the Georgia NAACP. Michael Woodward, Education Committee chair with the Gwinnett County NAACP, has reportedly considered filing a complaint to challenge the TNT Academy’s accreditation with the Georgia Accrediting Commission.

After learning that Nancy Gordeuk was released from her position, Woodward said the decision to file was “up in the air.” Although shocked the former principal was released so fast, her continued connection to the school made the NAACP member skeptical about any genuine consequences.
