Charlie Sheen Is “Honored” That Kathy Bates Is Playing His Ghost

Charlie Sheen may not have appreciated the way his character Charlie Harper was killed off by a train when he was fired by Warner Bros. and CBS but the actor is telling friends that he’s “honored” to have his ghost played by the amazing actress Kathy Bates.

Charlie Harper is set to make a return appearance on Two and a Half Men on April 30th and apparently rather than running with his tail between his legs to Charlie Sheen the shows executive producer and creator Chuck Lorre thought it would be hilarious to give the role to Bates.

It’s not clear if the casting call was a direct jab at Sheen or not but in any case it backfired as sources close to Sheen told TMZ that he’s a huge fan of Bates and LOVES her work.

Sheen is apparently “honored” that the actress would take on his beloved character and “share a connection” with him and he finds her to be incredibly funny.

In fact Sheen is so pleased that Kathy Bates will play his ghost that he’s planning to actually tune in and watch that particular episode when it airs on April 30th.

In the meantime Sheen is busily working on his new FX based show Anger Management in which he plays Jack Nicholson’s character from the movie of the same name.

Do you think Kathy Bates with all of her acting chops can pull off the role of Charlie Harper when she appears as his ghost on Two and a Half Men?
