‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Finale Spoilers, Renewal News: ‘You’re My Home’ Focuses On Bonds, Priorities
The Season 11 finale of Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursday night on ABC and fans are anxious to know what’s going to happen. It’s been a rough season, with the character of Dr. Derek Shepherd killed off a few episodes back, and everybody wants to know if there is more carnage ahead. Thursday night’s episode is titled “You’re My Home.” Viewers know that as the episode starts, the doctors will be scrambling to save the patient trapped in his car after the massive accident in last week’s episode. As was previously shared by the Inquisitr, previews for Thursday’s Season 11 finale seem to indicate that April and Jackson will have an important and potentially heartbreaking heart-to-heart talk. Grey’s Anatomy spoilers reveal that she admits that she misses being on the team abroad and Jackson says he understands and thinks she should go back.
April seems to breathe a sigh of relief, but there’s more. Jackson will then tell her that he doesn’t think he can be waiting for her at whatever point she returns. The look on April’s face shows devastation, and fans worry that this may spell the end for the couple.
Last week, Amelia was seen finally breaking down and confronting Meredith over how Derek’s death was handled, a tension that has been building for some time now. Grey’s Anatomy spoiler sneak peeks via the show’s Facebook page show a bit of Amelia and Owen together in this finale as Derek’s sister works on moving forward.
As fans saw, Meredith is planning to sell the house that Derek built for her, which means Amelia has to find a new place to live. She and Owen joke about the options, and she makes a comment about wanting things to work. Does she mean her relationship with Owen? That seems to be the takeaway, but fans will have to tune in to see if that’s really where she was headed with the comment.
Based on the still photos released by ABC and shared by TV Fanatic for “You’re My Home,” there will be some Callie-centered time in this episode as well. She’s seen talking with Amelia at one point and with Arizona at another. Some wonder if there could be a bit of a thaw between Callie and Arizona as this season ends, but it’s too soon to know for certain.
The episode synopsis for the Season 11 finale via TV Guide teases that the doctors bond as they work through the disaster from last week. Despite all they’ve been through with losing Derek and everything else this season, it seems they are all reminded about the real priorities in their lives.
Could this be a finale that ends on a relatively mellow note? It seems the big disasters of the season may be in the past and that this last episode of Season 11 focuses mostly on relationships. However, one never knows for certain when it comes to this show, so fans should be prepared for anything to happen.
One way or another, the good news for fans is that ABC has renewed Grey’s Anatomy for Season 12. The show will be back for more in the fall, and those who have stuck through the twists and turns of this season will surely be curious to see what comes next.
