Ashley Benson Blames ‘Too Much Attention’ On Why She Won’t Get Into A High-Profile Relationship
It must be hard dating in Hollywood, but according to Ashley Benson it’s even harder if you’re dating someone already in the lime light. The Pretty Little Liars star recently opened up to Fashion about her love life.
Although Benson has carried on a few A-list relationships of her own, she admits that it hasn’t been the easiest thing to do. Benson told Fashion that dating an A-list star brings way too much attention to the relationship, which might ultimately make it difficult to maintain.
“I don’t think I would be able to date a high-profile actor the way Angelina Jolie has. Her and Brad [Pitt] have done a good job at keeping private, but I’m sure that takes work. It’s too much attention when two powerful people are together.”
Another thing she’ll never get used to is posing on the red carpet. Ashley said that the chaotic nature of the red carpet is just not for her. “I hate the red carpet. It’s nerve-racking. People are yelling at you and pictures are being taken at all angles. It is not a comfortable thing for a human to experience!”
As for her own love life, after dating road manager Ryan Good, Benson has been in a relationship with her Pretty Little Liars co-star Tyler Blackburn. The first sign that the two were getting serious happened on Benson’s birthday.
On the star’s birthday in December, Blackburn posted a special message on Instagram. “Been loving this girl for five years. You have brought me so much laughter. You’ve literally had a huge hand in changing my life. I am so grateful for you. Happy Birthday babe! @itsashbenzo.”
Proving that they’re still going strong, the couple took to Instagram to tease fans about the “next step” in their relationship. Both Benson and Blackburn posed for pregnancy trimesters, one with Blackburn kissing Benson’s “bump” and another of Benson kissing Blackburn’s “bump.” Although the two were joking around, their fans went crazy with guesses that Ashley was expecting a baby.
