Molly Sims Says Losing Her Baby Weight Was Hard

Molly Sims is opening up about losing her baby weight. The model is talking about having difficult shedding the pounds after giving birth to her one-month-old daughter, Scarlett.

We’re used to hearing about how breastfeeding and quick diets melt the pounds off, but for Molly her experience is different. While on The View, Sims spoke about her battle taking the weight off. “I’m trying! Breastfeeding, multitasking. It is hard.”

Scarlett isn’t the first child for Molly Sims. She also has to juggle having two children in the household. “I moved my office in when I had Brooks, I have almost a 3-year-old. And I was like I’m doing this, and that’s what it takes to be close to them.”

While she isn’t happy just yet with her weight, she admitted that this time around she had a much more healthy pregnancy as opposed to her other pregnancy with son Brooks.

This isn’t the first time she was open about her weight. Sims was on the cover of The Bump back in February and compared her two pregnancies and how different they are from each other.

“With Brooks I gained almost 80 pounds, I was swollen and retaining fluid, and I had bad melasma and acne. But since I’d never been pregnant before I didn’t know – I just thought this was how it was supposed to be. With baby number two, I’ve only gained about half of that and I’ve felt much more energetic. My melasma hasn’t gotten bad, and, the best part, I haven’t had a single blemish.”

So how did Molly Sims pull off gaining less weight for the second pregnancy? Well according to the Sports Illustrated model she said that cardio was a part of it.

“I still did Tracy Anderson and spinning, but I took it much easier. My body just didn’t feel like I needed it, especially in the middle months, and I didn’t want to push it as hard. Some days you have energy, and some days you feel like you’ve been hit by a bus. It’s so important to really listen to what your body is telling you and go with it.”

As for how she got her body back after Brooks she attributed the wrap method and used spanx. “It totally sucks, but it helps with the elasticity of your skin. Some people believe and some don’t, but I know it 100 percent helped me keep everything in and I plan to do it again.”
