Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Daughter Seeks Conservatorship

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, appeared in court to ask a judge to place her ailing mother in a conservatorship.

Hilton said that her 95-year-old mother’s husband, Fredric von Anhalt, has been mishandling the actress’s finances and has not been taking care of her medical treatment. Hilton said that she wants to take care of her mother’s health and finances but would not be opposed to having a third party involved.

Unsurprisingly, Von Anhalt said that Hilton was just trying to get Zsa Zsa Gabor’s money.

The Washington Post reports that Hilton and Von Anhalt, Gabor’s ninth husband, have been fighting over the actresses’ care for the last few years. Hilton says that Von Anhalt has kept her mother isolated and that she is concerned about her care.

Hilton wrote:

“By isolating me from my mother, not only does her current husband deprive her of my love and companionship, but he goes against estate planning documents that appear to reflect her wishes that he not be in sole control of her affairs.”

Von Anhalt said:

“It’s probably her last card she’s playing now. It’s all about money. She’s afraid, her mother passing away eventually, and there’s nothing.”

But Hilton’s lawyer said that if his client is named the conservator it would have nothing to do with Gabor’s finances. A judge would have to review expenditures to make sure the money was spent in Gabor’s best interest.

A hearing has been scheduled for May 2 to review the case.
