NeNe Leakes Talks ‘RHOA’ Reunion Breakdown, Says Breaking Down Allowed Her To Move ‘Past The B******t’

NeNe Leakes’ breakdown during the third part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion was a shock to not only fans, but the other cast members as well. The reality TV star says it took courage and strength to show vulnerability in front of women who hate her.

NeNe’s breakdown during the reunion did not come out of nowhere, according to the self-proclaimed Queen of the RHOA in her last blog post of the season published Monday on her personal website. According to Leakes, it took courage and strength to show vulnerability in front of the other Housewives who she feels hates her and have shown zero support for her.

“My breakdown didn’t just come out of no where like some would like for you to think! It took courage and strength for me to drop my walls in front of women who had said the most ugliest things about me all season! Women who I feel honestly wanted to hurt me! Women who were 100% against me. Women who has shown me zero support. Women who has shown the utmost hate for me.”

NeNe Leakes broke down during filming of the third and final episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion when Dr. Jeff Gardere mentioned NeNe’s issues of abandonment relating to her mother, as People reports.

NeNe, who did not watch Sunday night’s episode, says she now understands her mother’s decision to send her away as a young child, but forgiveness is a powerful thing and that is why she let her walls come down in front of all of the other Housewives and millions of viewers. According to NeNe, her display of vulnerability has allowed her to move forward.

“Moving forward for me doesn’t mean having a friendship It just means that I’m past the b******t & some people need the b******t to survive on this show. I don’t!”

NeNe is moving forward only with certain cast mates, however. She maintains some of the women were not sincere with the support they showed on camera.

“I reached out to majority of the ladies after the reunion to thank them for their support & kindness that day because they seemed to show support during my breakdown. But I find it hard to believe that some of their intentions were genuine and sincere! Certainly after something so serious some have continued with the nasty negativity in the press and on social media. Which makes it hard for me to trust or have any relationship with them.”

NeNe Leakes has been on a media blitz recently to talk about the show and her opinion on who should return for another season of the show and who should not. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Broadway star says it is time for a cast shakeup, and she would like to see fewer single females on the show since RHOA is supposed to be about married women.
